You CAN Do That Online

Whether a member or retiree, there are many things you can do when you sign in at www.TCDRS.org

First things first, register

If you haven’t yet registered online, it’s quick and easy. Visit www.TCDRS.org and click “Register” on the top right and follow the steps. You will need your TCDRS account number to register. If you do not have your account number, please call TCDRS Member Services at 800-823-7782.

What members can do online

  • Apply for benefits online. When you’re eligible and ready to retire, you can use our new online benefit application. The “Apply for Retirement” button will be available on your Account Summary page up to six months before you are eligible to retire. Learn more with our Retire Online with TCDRS flyer

  • Watch your money grow. Just by signing in, you can view your account balance and watch your money grow each month.

  • Estimate your benefit. By selecting “Estimate Benefit” in the Plan for Retirement box, you can see your possible future benefit from TCDRS. You can also adjust your estimate settings and see how different retirement dates or beneficiaries might impact your payment amount.

  • Update your beneficiary. By selecting “View details” in the Beneficiary Summary box, you can add or edit the beneficiary for your TCDRS account. (It is a good idea to review your beneficiary designation at least once per year, especially if you’ve experienced a life event, such as the birth of a child.)

  • Upload documents. By selecting “Document uploads” in the Forms & Documents box, you can upload most forms to TCDRS. Forget about fax machines or snail mail.

  • Update your contact information. From the My Information drop down at the top right of the page, you can click on “Personal Information” to update your email, mailing address or phone numbers. You can also set communication preferences for newsletters and your annual statement.

What retirees can do online

  • Update your banking information. Click “Update” at the bottom of the Bank Info box and follow the steps. Keeping your banking information updated ensures we send your benefit payments to the right place.

  • View/update your tax withholding. Select “Edit Withholding” in the Account Summary box, to see your current selections and update your marital status, number of exemptions and withholding. (You can also see how amounts would change before submission with the “Calculate” button.)

  • Verify your payment. You’ll find your Annuity Verification in the Form & Documents box. This can help you verify your monthly benefit amount, which you may need to apply for a loan or mortgage.

  • Upload documents. By selecting “Document Uploads” in the Forms & Documents box, you can securely send TCDRS documents electronically, such as legal documents like the Durable Power of Attorney (TCDRS-67).

  • Update your contact information. From the “My Information” dropdown at the top right, click “Personal Information” to update your email, mailing address or phone numbers. You can also set communication preferences for newsletters.
