Investment Accountant
What we need
We are looking for a conscientious, focused and professionally motivated employee to join our Investment Accounting team. The Investment Accountant will work with the Chief Investment Accountant to oversee the investment accounting function with primary emphasis on assigned asset classes that include traditional and alternative investments.
What you’ll do

Completion and review of monthly general ledger entries from supporting custodian reports for internal and external portfolios

Review of periodic financial documents for alternative asset classes to determine appropriate NAV adjustments

Assist with preparation of audit, Annual Comprehensive Financial Report schedules and subsequent interaction with external auditors

Reconcile accounting spreadsheets to Backstop database, including FX adjustments

Produce and distribute the daily management report of asset mix and performance

Provide daily backup support for coworkers and special projects as necessary
What you should have
-
BA/BS or equivalent experience in accounting/finance/investments or related field

6-8 years accounting or investment concentration experience, CPA a plus

Proficient alternative investment accounting and reviewing alternative investment audited financial statements

Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft programs

Strong mathematical and personal computer skills

Effective verbal, written, analytical and organizational skills
