Senior Systems Administrator
What we need
TCDRS is in the process of maturing its security posture through the acquisition, deployment and refinement of new and existing security technologies. Through a process of continuous improvement, we seek to enhance our current suite of tools, as well as research and deploy new technologies that will maintain the security and integrity of TCDRS data and assets. The security team aims to provide a high standard of service to the organization as it monitors and reacts to the threat landscape of modern IT Security.
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Systems Administrator. In this role, you will work alongside a team to perform daily network and security-related administrative tasks, as well as develop, plan and execute projects that enhance TCDRS security objectives. Your duties will include being an escalation point for security-related technical support, root cause analysis, process improvement recommendations and maintaining any IT infrastructure related to networking and security.
What you should have

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)

5+ years of hands-on experience in systems administration, with a focus on VMWare, Windows Server, Networking, Office 365, Azure, Exchange, and endpoint security

Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies and best practices

Proficiency in Windows Server administration and Active Directory

Experience with Office 365 administration and Azure services
-
Experience with Citrix or other VDI technology is preferred

Familiarity with email security, compliance, and encryption

Expertise in endpoint security solutions and threat mitigation

Experience in Patching and Vulnerability Management

Knowledge of Enterprise Networks, Firewalls and Wireless Networks

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
-
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
-
Proficiency with Powershell or other scripting languages is preferred
What you will do
-
Administration and troubleshooting of internal computer systems and networks
-
Manage and configure VMWare, Office 365, Microsoft Exchange Online, Hybrid Azure Active Directory, Windows Servers, and other systems as assigned

Monitor endpoints and networks for system problems or anomalous activity

Assist with implementation of network security policies, application security, access control and corporate data safeguards

Work with fellow employees to keep them up to date on IT policies and procedures

Clearly communicate escalated issues to the management as needed

Develop system processes and documentation for continuous improvement

Lead internal projects as assigned by IT Leadership

Participate in disaster recovery operations, configurations and annual rehearsals

Help drive decisions collaboratively and ensure follow-up with effective verbal and written communication

Complete technical research to help assess solutions that satisfy assigned technical objectives
