Key Resources for Your Newest Employees
You can empower your new hires with the tools they need to take control of their TCDRS account. They will save you time down the road, too!
Here's how:
-
Watch for our welcome mailer: Once your new employees are enrolled in TCDRS, encourage them to watch their mailbox. Our welcome mailer provides a simple overview of their TCDRS plan that outlines their employee deposit rate, employer matching rate and their account number, which they can use to register for online account access at TCDRS.org.
-
Get a quick video introduction: TCDRS offers an “Introduction to Your Member Benefits” video that gives your new employees an overview of how TCDRS works in less than three minutes. You can find it, and a lot of other helpful videos, at TCDRS.org/MemberVideos.
-
Visit our New Hire page: Your new hires can visit us online for a detailed account of how TCDRS works and what to expect as they continue their journey with us at TCDRS.org/NewHires.
-
Provide a custom onboarding brochure: TCDRS can provide you with custom Welcome to TCDRS brochures to give your new employees on their first day. This brochure, which is available in print or digital form, has details about the benefits your retirement plan provides, such as your matching rate, deposit rate and eligibility requirements. If you would like a supply of these free brochures, please contact your TCDRS Account Manager at 800-651-3848.
-
Provide our New Member Checklist: The New Member Checklist provides a snapshot of a member's online account along with a checklist to help them register online, designate their beneficiaries, report their service time and connect with TCDRS.
