We asked our Facebook followers what their Texas hometown is known for. Here’s what they said!

Recently, we posed a question to our Facebook followers asking TCDRS members what their Texas hometown is known for.
According to the Texas Comptroller’s Office, Texas has more than 1,200 incorporated cities. That’s a lot! So take a look around, and see if you can recognize some of the things that Texas towns and cities champion as their claims to fame:
If there is one thing we’ve learned in our 55 years of providing retirement benefits for Texans, it’s that Texas county and district employees love where they come from and the communities they serve — so much that they tend to stay local after they retire. Thanks for letting us in on some of the reasons why!
