It’s Time to Review Your TCDRS Plan

Flexibility and local control are two important features that set TCDRS apart from other retirement plans. Every May through December, you have the opportunity to review your TCDRS plan to make sure it fits your needs and budget.

Plan decisions are due Monday, Dec. 16, and TCDRS is here to help. We offer a host of virtual services that will help you evaluate your plan and make decisions.

• Economic Modeling Studies: We can provide special economic modeling studies that show how your required rate could change under different economic conditions, so that you can make informed decisions about your plan. We can also provide rate projections for different plan options. For more information or to request a study, contact your TCDRS Employer Services Representative.

• Presentation for Your Decision Makers: Your TCDRS Employer Services Representative can conduct a live, in-person or virtual presentation about your specific TCDRS plan for your commissioners court or governing board. Just call your representative to schedule yours.

• Plan Customizer Tool: This online tool lets you run benefit and cost scenarios for your retirement plan. Decision makers can find it by signing into their employer account at TCDRS.org and selecting “Plan Customizer” from the left menu. Plan changes are due on Monday, Dec. 16 by 5 p.m., CST. Your new rate for the upcoming plan year will go into effect on Jan. 1. Please use the Plan Customizer tool to submit your plan changes. Adopting an elected rate or making additional contributions should be submitted through the Plan Customizer as plan changes.

If you do not wish to make any changes, you do not need to send anything to TCDRS.
