Summer News for TCDRS Plan Decision-Makers

Summer is here — and so is TCDRS’ final 2021 investment return and Annual Comprehensive Financial Report.

Summer has arrived, which means we are rolling out important documents and ramping up to host our Annual Conference in July.

If you make decisions about your organization’s TCDRS plan, here are a few things to be on the lookout for this summer:

Final 2021 Investment Return

This spring, we released our estimated 2021 investment return and shared how that number would impact employer rates and the TCDRS Reserves Fund going forward, but now it’s official: In 2021, the TCDRS investment portfolio earned 22%.

We will talk more about the impact of this performance, as well as market conditions in 2022, at our 2022 TCDRS Annual Conference, so be sure to register to attend (in-person) at TCDRSConference.org.

Annual Comprehensive Financial Report

The 2021 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report provides an overview of TCDRS’ financials, including a detailed look at funding levels, investment performance and operating costs.

Help with Plan Decisions

As you know, the plan decision process is well underway, with plan changes due by Dec. 15, 2022. Between now and then, we are committed to ensuring you have the knowledge and resources you need to feel confident in those decisions.
